Getting found across the whole valley, not just one city.
I run The Gridline Company from West Covina, but plenty of the businesses I work with serve customers well beyond it. This page is about that: showing up correctly across the San Gabriel Valley's twenty-plus cities instead of only the one on your business card.
Most businesses only rank where they're headquartered.
A business that legitimately serves West Covina, Covina, and Baldwin Park usually only shows up for West Covina searches, because nothing on the site or the listing tells Google about the other two. That's not a content problem, it's a structure problem, and it's cheap to fix once you know it's there.
The region also has real head terms of its own, "san gabriel valley web design" and similar, that a single-city business can't compete for and a regional one genuinely can.
Four things, in the order they matter.
Nothing here is a trick. It's the unglamorous list, done properly across every city you actually serve.
Twenty cities, twenty different map packs
The San Gabriel Valley isn't one search market, it's a strip of neighboring cities each with their own local pack. A business in Covina and a business in Diamond Bar are ranking in two completely separate three-pack results, even though they're twenty minutes apart. Region-wide SEO means getting found correctly in the specific cities you actually serve, not just the one you're headquartered in.
Proximity decides more than quality does
Google weighs distance from the searcher heavily. A great business three cities over can lose to an average one two blocks away. If you serve the whole SGV, your Google Business Profile service areas need to say so explicitly, or you're invisible outside your home city by default.
Regional searches are their own category
"San gabriel valley web design" or "SGV accountant" behaves differently than a single-city search. Fewer people search it, but the ones who do are usually comparing options across the whole region rather than just checking who's closest. Worth owning if you actually cover the area.
Consistency across twenty listings, not one
If you have a presence in multiple SGV cities, your name, address, and service details need to match everywhere: your site, your Google listing, Yelp, and any directory that has you. This is the part that quietly falls apart as a business grows across the region.
The San Gabriel Valley specifically.
The SGV runs from West Covina and Covina out through Azusa, Glendora, and Diamond Bar, down to Pomona and out toward Whittier and the El Montes. Twenty different downtowns, twenty different business districts, and twenty different Google map packs. A regional business gets lost in the gaps between them more often than it loses to an actual competitor.
If you only need one city done right, that's simpler and cheaper: start with your West Covina local SEO page or your city's page below. This page is specifically for businesses trying to be found correctly across several cities at once.
Fixed price, quoted after I look.
I won't quote regional SEO blind. Tell me which cities you actually serve and I'll look at your listing, your site, and what currently shows up. Then you get a fixed price for exactly what I'd do.

Is San Gabriel Valley SEO different from just doing SEO for my home city?
Yes. A single-city page targets one map pack. Region-wide SEO means your Google Business Profile service areas, your site structure, and your local pages all say clearly which cities you cover, so you show up correctly in more than just the city you're based in.
I'm only based in one SGV city. Do I still need this?
Probably not, and I'll tell you that on the first call. This page is for businesses that genuinely serve multiple cities across the region. If you only work in one city, a single local SEO page for that city is the right scope and costs less.
How many of the SGV cities do you actually cover?
I have dedicated pages for twenty cities across the valley, listed below. If yours isn't one of the twenty, I likely still work there. Ask and I'll tell you honestly.
What does San Gabriel Valley SEO cost?
I quote a fixed price after looking at what's actually wrong across your listings and site. Scope varies a lot by how many cities you're actually trying to rank in, so I won't guess a number without looking first.
