Web design and practical AI, without the agency markup.
I'm Adam. I run The Gridline Company, building websites for small businesses in West Covina and across the San Gabriel Valley. I run a small business too, so I do this work the way I'd want it done for me: honest prices, plain language, and no runaround.
Not sure whether you need a site, AI, branding, or just a second opinion? Start with the free chat and I'll point you at the smallest useful next step.
Five ways I can help, with one person accountable.
Most small businesses don't need five vendors. I build the website, get it showing up on Google, set up the AI, design the brand, and help you think through what to do next. You get one person who answers the phone and knows your business.
I need a website people can trust.
Best when your site is missing, slow, dated, or not bringing in calls.
Starts small, scales only if the business case is there.
Nobody can find me on Google.
Best when you have a site but it never shows up, or your Google listing is thin or wrong.
Audit first, so you see the problem before you pay to fix it.
I am losing time to repeat tasks.
Best when leads, follow-ups, FAQs, or daily admin keep stealing your week.
Practical setup first, no AI theater.
My business looks inconsistent.
Best when your logo, colors, printed pieces, or online presence do not feel connected.
Clean identity work without a bloated brand deck.
I need a straight answer.
Best when you are not ready to hire yet, but need someone to help sort the next move.
One focused conversation, no retainer required.
Proof, before the sales call.
I will not invent client logos or pretend every business needs a giant custom build. Here are real parts of how I work that you can look at before you book anything.
“I enquired about a design/logo for a family event. They are very attentive to detail and have great communication. Great to work with. I will come back if I need anymore designs. I highly recommend!”

What the $150 site includes
A one-page, mobile-first site with basic SEO, schema, a contact form, and Google Business Profile setup. The scope is small on purpose, so the price can stay honest.

The free workflow library shows how I think through useful automation: lead capture, chatbots, review requests, and daily business summaries.
View workflows → Launch checklistA practical checklist, not a mystery process
The launch checklist turns the hidden work of a website into plain steps: SEO, forms, schema, analytics, mobile checks, and final handoff.
Open checklist →I started The Gridline Company because of one thing I kept seeing.
Small businesses already doing the work of three people, with no time left to figure out the tech side of things and no budget to hire someone full time just for that.
That is most people I talk to. You are running the whole operation yourself. A website, some automation, a little AI, things that could actually help, end up on the back burner because there is no one to hand it to.
That is where I come in. I am not an agency. I am one person, and I keep my prices honest because I built this for people who are watching every dollar.
I am Adam. I am based in West Covina. I do the work, I answer the phone, and I will tell you upfront what something costs and whether it is even the right fit for you.
If you want to talk, I am easy to reach.
What to expect when you work with me.
No mystery. Here is exactly what happens from the first conversation to after launch.
Free 30-Min Chat
I listen and figure out what you actually need. Sometimes that is a website. Sometimes it is just a Google Business Profile cleanup. I will be honest either way.
Proposal + Flat Price
You get a written scope with a clear price. No hourly surprises. What is included, what is not, the timeline, and the total cost. That is it.
I Build It
I do the work. No handoffs to a team, no disappearing on you. Most sites launch in one to three weeks, depending on scope. You see it mid-way and get a say before anything is final.
Launch + Handoff
Your site goes live. I walk you through what was built and make sure you know how to use it. I do not drop a zip file and go quiet.
And after launch, I am still there.
Questions after launch, small tweaks, something you forgot to ask. I am reachable. This is the part most agencies skip entirely.
Hosting without the headache.
A website still needs care after it goes live. I can host it, watch it, back it up, make small updates, and help with the technical pieces so you are not stuck figuring out SSL, DNS, forms, or platform settings alone.
Serving the San Gabriel Valley.
Based in West Covina. Working with small businesses across the SGV and remotely with businesses anywhere in the U.S.

Common questions
Do you only work with businesses in West Covina?
I'm based in West Covina and serve the whole San Gabriel Valley first. But I work with businesses outside the area too. Local clients get the in-person option (we can grab coffee). Remote clients get the same quality of work over Zoom and email.
How long does a website take to build?
Most projects take 4 to 8 weeks. Simple Starter sites can be done in 3 to 4 weeks if we move quickly. Bigger Growth sites usually run 6 to 8 weeks. AI projects vary based on scope.
Why do you publish your prices when most agencies don't?
Because hiding prices wastes everyone's time. You should know up front what something costs. I'd rather lose a lead that wasn't a good fit than spend an hour on a discovery call that ends in sticker shock.
