Small business web design that brings in customers.
Custom websites for small businesses. Fast, mobile-first, and built to bring in work instead of sitting there looking fine. No templates, no bloat, and one person doing the whole thing. I answer the phone.
This may not be for you if...
- You only need a temporary placeholder page and do not care how it performs.
- You want the cheapest possible template with no strategy, SEO, or handoff.
- You need a large agency team with formal departments and daily status calls.
Small businesses that want a website that actually works.
New businesses
Just getting started. You need a real website, not a Wix template that screams "I built this myself in an afternoon."
Outgrowing your current site
Your current site is slow, ugly, or invisible to Google. A rebuild fixes all three.
Tired of being ignored
Your last designer disappeared after launch. You want someone who actually picks up the phone.
Run a trade? Websites for plumbers covers the CSLB advertising requirement and the after-hours calls you're losing.
Built on the right platform for your business.
Not every business needs the same thing. I'll tell you which one fits before we start.
WordPress
Manage your own content.
The most widely-used CMS in the world. Great for businesses that want to update their own pages, run a blog, or use the plugin ecosystem.
Learn more →Shopify
Sell products online.
Built for e-commerce. If you have inventory, need a checkout, or want to run an online store, Shopify is usually the right call.
Learn more →Fully Custom
Built exactly to spec.
No templates, no constraints. Custom-coded sites are faster, lighter, and built for specific needs that off-the-shelf platforms can't handle.

Already have a site? Two other ways I can help.
Website redesign
Fix what you have, or rebuild it right.
If your current site is slow, outdated, or not bringing in work, I'll look at it and tell you honestly what's worth keeping. Sometimes a few fixes do the job. Sometimes a rebuild is cheaper than patching. Either way, you get a straight answer before you spend anything.
Landing pages
One page with one job.
Get someone to call, book, or buy. That's it. Good for ads, promos, or a single service you want to push hard. Fast to build, cheap to run, and easy to measure whether it's working.
Four ways to get a small business website.
I am one of four options and I am not always the right one. Here is the honest version of each, including when you should not call me.
Build it yourself
$0 to $30 a month
Worth it when: You are pre-revenue, or the site genuinely only needs to prove you exist. Squarespace and Wix are fine at this.
The catch: It will take you three weekends, it will look like the template it is, and the SEO work underneath it will not get done.
The cheapest freelancer you can find
$300 to $800
Worth it when: You know exactly what you want, you have the copy written, and you only need someone to build it.
The catch: Usually a template with your logo dropped in. The common ending is that they stop replying and you cannot get into your own hosting.
One person who does the whole job
$150 to $5,000
Worth it when: You want someone accountable, you want to know the price before you start, and you want to still be able to reach them in a year.
The catch: I am one person. If you need six people on a call every Tuesday, I am not that.
A full agency
$8,000 and up
Worth it when: You have multiple locations, a marketing team to coordinate with, or genuine complexity like a custom booking system tied to inventory.
The catch: For most small businesses this is paying for account managers and a process you do not need. I have watched friends pay $8k for a WordPress template.
If you are somewhere between the second and third option, that is the conversation worth having. Book the free chat and I will tell you which one I think you are, even if the answer costs me the job.

Quote and plan
I send a fixed-price quote with a clear scope. No surprises later.
Design
I show you a design direction. We adjust until it feels right.
Build
I build the site. You see progress weekly. No black boxes.
Launch and handoff
We go live. I show you how to make small updates yourself.
Launch is not where support should end.
If you want me to keep the site running after it launches, the care plans bundle hosting, SSL, updates, monitoring, and small monthly changes into one predictable monthly cost. For custom static sites I typically use Netlify or Cloudflare. For WordPress, I use managed WordPress hosting that fits the site.
Managed hosting
Fast hosting, SSL, redirects, and launch-day DNS support handled for you.
Backups and monitoring
Regular backups, uptime checks, and a cleaner recovery path if something goes wrong.
Updates and security
WordPress updates, plugin checks, static-site maintenance, and practical security monitoring.
Small monthly changes
Use your included care time for copy edits, image swaps, new sections, forms, or landing page tweaks.

Common questions
What's included in a website project?
Design, build, copywriting help if you need it, mobile testing, basic SEO setup (titles, meta, schema), Google Business Profile setup, and a handoff session so you know how to make small updates yourself.
Do I have to host my site with you?
No. You can host wherever you want. Many clients do choose my Care Plan for hosting because it bundles in security, updates, and small changes. But you're not locked in.
What platform do you build on?
It depends on what you need. WordPress if you want to manage your own content. Shopify if you're selling products online. Astro (a fast static site) if your top priority is speed and SEO. Fully custom if your needs don't fit a template. I'll tell you which one makes the most sense for your situation before we start anything.
Can I update the site myself after launch?
Yes. I build sites so you can update text, images, and basic content without calling me. For bigger changes, you can hire me hourly or sign up for a Care Plan.
What about SEO?
Every site I build comes with the SEO basics done right: per-page titles and descriptions, schema markup, mobile speed, image optimization, and Google Business Profile setup. For ongoing SEO work, that's a separate engagement.
Curious what this actually costs? Here's the honest breakdown, or if your site just needs a refresh, what a redesign runs instead.
