n8n is a free, open-source automation tool. Think of it like Zapier, but more powerful and you can run it yourself for almost nothing.

To use these templates: sign up for n8n (cloud version is free for small use, or self-host it on a $5/mo server), import a downloaded JSON file, plug in your credentials (Gmail, OpenAI, Google Sheets, etc.), and turn it on.

Each template below tells you exactly what credentials you'll need. None of them take more than an hour to set up.

Simple Website Chatbot

An AI chatbot that answers customer questions on your site.

The fastest way to add an AI chatbot to your website. A visitor sends a message, the workflow asks GPT for a friendly answer based on your business info, and sends the reply back. Drop the webhook URL into any chat widget and you're live.

What it does

  • Receives a chat message via webhook
  • Sends it to OpenAI with a system prompt about your business
  • Returns a friendly, branded reply
  • Works with any chat widget that posts to a webhook

Most small businesses lose reviews because they forget to ask. This workflow checks your project tracker daily, finds clients whose project finished 7+ days ago, and sends them a personalized review request with a direct Google link. Then it marks them as asked so nobody gets emailed twice.

What it does

  • Runs every morning at 10 AM
  • Reads your project list from Google Sheets
  • Filters for completed projects past the wait period
  • Sends a warm, personal review request via Gmail
  • Marks each row as sent so it only happens once
